Mpango wa Maarifa ya Orange aims to advance the development of the capacity, knowledge and quality of both individuals as well as organisations both in the field of higher and vocational education and in other fields related to the priority themes in the programme countries.

Scholarships

One of the instruments offered by the Orange Knowledge Programme are the individual scholarships, which are open to mid-career professionals who are nationals of -and living and working in the following countries:

We emphasise that these scholarships are also open for applicants from francophone countries.

Scholarships are available for a selection of:

  • short courses (duration 2 weeks to 12 months);
  • masterXCHARXs programmes (duration 12 – 24 months).

Please note that there are focus areas for each country, which are taken into consideration when scholarship applications are nominated and assessed. Applications that fall within the focus areas for a specific country are given priority:

Dates na muda uliopangwa

There are 3 application rounds for individual scholarships in 2019. The current application round opened on 7 February.

Application deadlines vary per institution. After selecting a course, you need to contact the Dutch institution directly for more information about the application deadline.

Provisional opening for other application rounds will be 6 June 2019 and 5 September 2019.

For the current application round there is extra budget for Masters and Short courses for applicants of Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestinian Territories, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Mali, Nigeria and Niger.

The procedure is as follows:

  1. Candidates register
  2. Dutch institution nominates candidates and submits grant application
  3. Embassies check eligibility and assess applications
  4. Selection results published
  5. Grants awarded
